We are excited to announce that WigOut, our signature “FUN”draiser for Art Education programs will be held Saturday, April 20th, 8 pm to midnight in our galleries at 623 N. Chaparral St. This year, we celebrate the whimsical world of Lewis Carroll, author of the delightfully imaginative Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, with WigOut in Wonderland!

Join us as we embark on an adventure through Wonderland, renowned for its quirky and nonsensical elements where the extraordinary becomes the norm. Notably, Carroll’s writing played a pivotal role in catalyzing the surrealist art movement of the early 1900s, serving as a wellspring of inspiration for accomplished artists like Max Ernst and Salvador Dalí. The Silent Auction and Swag Bags will feature artwork by popular local artists inspired by Wonderland and Surrealism. WigOut attendees are invited to dress in costume and/or wear wigs or artful accessories related to this theme.

WigOut in Wonderland! dares to be an enchanting night. Our signature “Drink Me“ cocktail will have you dancing with the Cheshire Cat to music by DJs CryBaby and JelloxShot, while our food will be fit for the Queen of Hearts herself. Hop into the photo booth with all your favorite Wonderland characters, and bid on fine art, wonderful vacation get-a-ways, and fantastic merchandise. Purchase a Swag Bag filled with prizes from local retailers and offering a chance to win valuable gift cards or experiences.

Proceeds from WigOut support K Space Contemporary’s Art Education and Outreach Programs, including our Summer Mural Arts Program for teens which creates amazing public murals (22 so far!), Art Lab for Teens weekend classes, and our Outreach Program which takes enriching creative experiences to K-12 schools, senior centers and non-profit organizations. This fundraiser raises matching funds for education grants, pays our Education Coordinator and Instructors, and helps purchase art supplies for these programs. ​
