K Space Art Lab was originally a product of the COVID-19 pandemic, in which K Space moved all education programming to be virtual and online. NOW K Space Art Lab is our year-round weekend program for teens ages 13-17 with an interest in developing their professional artistic skills and potential careers in the arts. This program is a combination of studio practice and developing art business administration skills by learning from professional local and visiting artists. K Space Contemporary is committed to providing its Art Lab students with free access to quality arts education, encouraging high standards of achievement, and fostering excellence and leadership.

This program is free and open to teens ages 13-17 with an interest in furthering their art skills in partnership with the Mosaic Project of South Texas. Registrations cap at 20 per workshop, so please RSVP for each workshop beforehand.

Art Lab students will have the opportunity to participate in workshops or professional lessons each month on Saturdays from 11 am - 2 pm. Students will also have the opportunity to exhibit their works at K Space Contemporary up to two times a year, if not more.
