"From Our Generation to Yours"

"From Our Generation to Yours" was a mural project designed by Muralists Mayra Zamora and Monica Marie Garcia, and completed by over 80 seniors ages 55-95 from local Senior Recreational Facilities.

Each year K Space completes outreach art lessons at local Senior Recreation Centers and retirement communities. Instructor and Muralist, Zamora suggested a mural project for the seniors to participate in and La Palmera offered a wall for the mrual to go on. La Palmera has been a strong supporter of K Space Contemporary and our educaiton initiatives. The mural is located on the wall near the back entrance to the mall that faces McArdle Rd.

Over the course of 6 months Seniors helped paint panels of the mural, instructors Mayra Zamora and Monica Marie Garcia then installed the panels on the wall and community volunteers were then invited to come back and help add the finishign touches to the mural.
