In 2020, after we canceled the Dia de los Muertos Festival for the first time in 13 years, we decided to hold a contest to start a new Dia de los Muertos Art Collection. The first artists to be commissioned to create works for the collection are Mabel P. Garza, Malachy McKinney, Marnie Long, Mayra Zamora and Samantha Casanova. The artists were asked to enlarge their designs to 6 ft x 8 ft canvases and the finished works are spectacular! Take a look below!
